My first finished quilt

My first finished quilt
This is the first quilt I ever finished- notice I didn't say the first quilt I started (that's in my long-term projects bin). I picked up a "Sweet Treat" (eight fat quarters) at the Pincushion Boutique vendor booth (http://www.sweettreat.com/Version2/catalog/index.php) at the International Quilt Festival in Houston in 2010 (or was it 2009... horrible memory), and got a free pattern with it called Hodge Podge (http://www.sweettreat.com/Version2/c...roducts_id=223). The pattern is supposed to be random, but I tried my best to not let any of the same fabrics touch each other, managed to get all but one spot.
The fabrics are purples, pinks, off whites, and tans- not my usual style at all (don't know what I was thinking, really!). Some of the prints are from a line called London Cats. I backed it with off-white minkee, did a simple horizontal line stitch in the ditch, and bound with some prepackaged bias tape. This quilt lives in my office at work. Sorry, the pictures are a little dark, my phone's camera is not the greatest. (click the flickr link for bigger pics)
