Leave it to a texan to do something great (big) the first time tried. LOL!
You did a wonderful job of this quilt. I love all the colors.

You did a great job on this! Pretty quilt! Was FMQ hard to learn? I so want to try, but have not been brave enough yet, maybe one day soon.

Suzic46 - I was nervous to try FMQ on a big quilt but I practiced on several small sandwiches at first. I posted pics on here and got some great feedback on how to fix a few problems I was having. I kept getting scallops on my curves and with the feedback, I realized my tension was too tight and that I needed better thread.

It wasn't nearly as hard as I had feared. I will definitely be doing more FMQ. :D

Thank you all for the wonderful compliments!! I showed my DH but all he said was "yeah, very pretty" without really understanding how much work it took. He thinks meandering looks like brains.

Simply wonderful job!!!. I tried for a couple hours yesterday. Got so bad at it the longer I tried. SOOOO I took the advice of someone and had a glass of wine to relax. Well I'm still nursing a hang over from the glasses of wine, and darn the free motion NEVER got better. I really struggle with it. Getting really good quilting with my walking foot even on turns. So I just cheat and use my decorative stitches.
So you really should feel proud.
