here are some pics of my first free motion quilt. i've never done free motion before but i purchased the Flynn Multi Frame System and have finally entered into the world of FM.

i have cats so forgive any stays hairs you might see i haven't run the lint roller across the quilt yet

Great job,

I start a machine quilting class next week, can't wait. It is such a deal 6 weeks 2 hours each week no more than 3 in the class for $80. It is basically private lessons.

thanks for the nice comments everyone.

i have used patterns in the past like the log cabin.

this quilt wasn't from a pattern. i was looking to do something more manly in design that had a cabin or lodge feel to it and hinted towards hunting/fishing.

i used plaids and then thought this type of piecing would look like arrows and the free motion was my attempt at flowing water - i was trying to stay in the hunting/fishing kinda thing.
