Wink My first Jelly Roll race.

I decided to try a Jelly Roll Race (or 1600) from a Birchbark lodge fabric by Moda on New Years Day after I cleaned up from the New Years Eve party we had. I thought it would be easy after watching the Missouri Star Tutorial but was unsure if I would like it or not, but I wanted to try. I think I am going to put dark green or a dark brown border on it. I thought about cutting it into 6 pieces and putting borders around them but decided not to do that yet. It came out to be 50 X 63 inches so with borders it could be a nice lap quilt or I and make it fit a double bed. Thanks for looking.

Your jelly roll quilt is very nice. Have made a couple and enjoy doing them when I need a fast and easy quilt for something.

How did you get the attached piece using the /method. The one I'm using attaches the next strip straight up and down. Love the look of the slanted. Thanks.

Very nice, great colors. To get the slanted pieces, connect the stripes with diagonal seams, like making binding strips.
