Default My first Log Cabin Quilt

This is the first time I have done a log cabin-started in a class sometime ago-just finished the applique and it has just gone off to be quilted. I love doing all my applique by hand so do buttonhole stitch round all the applique. I am please how it came out and will look forward to finishing when it comes back from LAQ.. Haven't thought of a name yet??-Maybe Hearts Abloom in the Cabin??
Have had an emotional few weeks as had to have my 14yr old chocolate Labrador Kimmi put to sleep-she was one of the family and while we knew her days were numbered it still hurts.
Hope to make a memory quilt for her.
Thanks to all those members out there for your feedback on my last picture I posted of the quilting Owls-was overwhelmed with the response.

Love your quilt! And I feel your pain on the loss of your Kimmi! Lost our sweet schnauzer a few years ago and I still miss him terribly!

The army is beautiful. Sorry for you're loss. We recently lost our 14 y/o turtoise shell cat, Kati. Still a struggle to think of her!

Oh, Jenny! What a pretty, happy quilt! It's just beautiful and I think that your name is perfect! : )
I am so sorry about Kimmi. My last golden retirever almost made it to 15 yrs old before he passed. We still miss him. Dogs are definitely family!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful quilt with us!
