The first one is done using a charm pack. Made my own template from tutorials shown here. Still needs a border, so will work on that, but love how it turned out. I used 30 charms, 5in., 5 rows of 6.

Now the wreath, I cut out my own charms, from various, & mostly, xmas prints. I added another row all the way around the wreath, just following the basic block layout first show in the tutorial on this site. I wanted mine bigger, lol. Then I worked out the borders. If I decide to bind the edges, I will probably use the same last border fabric. Thought about the deep burgundy, like the one skinny border, but not sure I like it. Like the floral better on the edge, don't you?

My wreath design is about 34" square right now, in case you are wondering, & I will have to remember to add a hanging sleeve to the back, once I quilt it. Still debating on quilting & adding anything to the background, like little charms, or quilting in colored thread maybe? Any ideas out there?....

I didn't buy the template, or any book yet, just playing on my own here, from all that's been shown on this site. I really like this design, am anxious to try some other ideas using it!

I am trying to get in the xmas spirit, that's why I decided to do the wreath. Having fun with it! Empty nesters here, & all our kids & family are in CA, so I need something to get me in the holiday mood! This, is definitely helping!

Thanks for all your lovely comments too!
