So, since my sewing machine (Lola) started acting up and doesnt like to be used any more I had to hand sew this "beauty".

It only took me an hour to sew it and its about 7 1/2" square.

Your comments are appreciated and if you can give me any tips I would love that too!

I am using my Sweet & Sour collection from Connecting Threads. I LOVE this fabric and I love this pattern and I hope that I will be able to make some of the more complicated NYB blocks to make a pretty lap quilt (I doubt I will want to go larger if I have to do it all by hand LOL).

I am sorry if the pics are dark

Wow! Nice work, I'm working on a NYB quilt too, but I'm machine sewing it all. Can't imagine handsewing these blocks. Can't wait to see more!

OK...You asked.....:o). Please don't be upset....your block is very nice. However, as one that makes a lot of NYB blocks , although not by hand, accuracy is part of the block. Make sure your lines are "straight" and the connecting seams(like around the top....arches) comes right at the very tip of the spire......not cutting it off, but not leaving extra fabric either. Keep working on them. It's such a fantastic block and can be used so many ways. It does demand accuracy, though.....
