I did one paper piece practice block at my quilting class, then went on and created this wall hanging, named "Gramma's Best China". I saw the pattern in a book, and shrank down the pattern to fit the available space on my kitchen wall. Wow! What a huge project it turned out to be as a first piece. Such tiny fabric scraps, some were only 1/2" square. I'm happy with the results, and will enter it in my first quilt show in a few weeks. But I swear I will never again do a paper piece project. Lesson Learned!

It doesn't look like your first paper pieced quilt. It's beautiful. I love the color choice and the plates are absolutely cute.
