My first two blocks of a six-block sampler. The border is the sunflower print, sashing is the dark green, cornerstones are the light green and the backing and binding will be dark brown.

The design of the rest of the blocks remains to be seen, but block #3 will be Grandmother's Fan and block #4 will be Dresden Plate as it stands now.

my first ever attempt at piecing: Duck and Ducklings block

Thanks! Quilting is the only thing I've attempted where being a perfectionist is a definite asset!

I lost between a quarter and half an inch on the Duck and Ducklings block and it's not as square as I'd like, but it's close. Ohio Star was easier to keep square, but it's off by a little too, so we'll see how the next four turn out. If I'm consistently off the blocks will still be comparatively accurate, I figure. :)
