I am a late bloomer and have been quilting for a little over a year now. I have worked on this lap quilt since last Fall. This will be the first quilt that I have made to give as a gift. It is for my daughter - she helped pick most of the colors in the quilt top. The material I picked for the back picks up all the colors in the quilt. I am just starting to sew the binding and should be finished shortly. I am going to call it "My Shining Star" since it is for my daughter. The pattern was from a Friendship Star but I changed it up a little. Just wanted to share it with you.

Love it and I am sure your "shining star" will as well. Very pretty colors.

It's beautiful! The fabric is so pretty, I especially like the butterfly fabric. The way/why you named it is so sweet.
