Default My first quilt with scalloped edge

I haven't started a new thread before so bear with me.
These are also the first photos I've posted.
I bought the fabric for this at a friend's garage sale and just loved it. It took me a year or so to decide on a pattern and I love it. It is my first attempt at scalloped edges. I used freezer paper cut the length of each side and folded it in half, then again in half, and so on. Cut the scallop I liked and ironed it to the quilt. Then marked the scallops with that blue wash away ink before sending it to the quilter. I used bias binding cut 2-1/4" wide and folded in half. I am very happy with the way it turned out.

Very nice! Scallops/ovals/circles scare me......triangles are challenging enough right now. Will I ever make a quilt with a curve? I don't know....I guess the phrase is "never say never"........however.......

Fantastic job on your quilt!

VERY PRETTY. You did a great job on this quilt. I really like the pattern, fabric and yes the scalloped edges. I forget about doing something besides straight edges. Thanks for sharing. Think I will try some scalloped edges.Quilting is great also. BrendaK
