Some of you may have read my previous post about how I was making a quilted pillow for my DH grandmother's birthday. The pillow that turned into a wall hanging and now is a lap quilt.... I guess I just didnt know when to stop! Her party was last Sunday so I gave her the top and told her it was a work in progress....

So here it is >>>

Upclose of center block....love the lighouse material!

Not quite done yet... Top and bottom borders are the red with a lighthouse block in each of the 4 corners.

So nice molly. For your first quilt it is totally great! My first one was b.c. that is before cutters (rotary) LoL! It was a very pittiful lop-sided scrappy squares. Then it was a elenore burns that you tore the strips! woohoo .. that was smokin' fast compared to cutting with scissors.
