Default Mitered Corners Blanket

I've been working on this for a few days, finally got it finished! The pattern is in the first "One Yard Wonders". It's made with one yard of striped fabric. I backed it with some pale green flannel and used the birthing method, then used a fancy stitch around the edge. It's receiving blanket size.

Bonita, actually it was a bit challenging. You start out with a 1 yard piece of striped fabric (the stripes are all running in the same direction). You fold the fabric in half along the stripes and then match the stripes on the edges. The challenge comes when you make HST's out of the 4-1/2" squares you will eventually cut.

I don't think I've ever seen this pattern. You did a great job of matching up everything.
