Default my first quilted mug rugs they are not so good though

I just made my daughter a mug rug, I put the larger piece of fabric for the cup to sit on on the right side and made strips of matching type fabrics on the left for the snacks. Did I make this backwards? It is the first time I have ever tried to make anything like this and didn't have any pattern. Also, how do you make those corners so nice? mine is not nearly as nice, the 4 mug rugs I made last weekend, I mailed my daughter's to her and my granddaughter was SHOCKED that the pkg wasn't for her LOL but she took it anyway and had cocoa and cookies on it. LOL now grandma has to make her a special one this weekend if I can find any fabrics for a little girl. LOL I have a picture in my email of my mug rugs, but no clue how to put them on here???? well, I tried LOL

I think they really look good. You did a fantastic job on them. I would definitely put my cup of tea on one.

I think that your mug rugs are absolutely lovely! I like them. As for the corners, they seem fine to me. Having said that, there are some tutorials on here that you can have a look at and perhaps that can help? Best wishes.

Really like them and like your design of solid piece on one side and pieced on the other. Do you remember where you got the Calico Cat fabric? Looks like my Tinkerbell!!
