On Friday I drove an hour or so north for my first class, this one on Cathedral Windows. Oh, I do love this pattern! I like handwork, so this is just right for me. In fact, I liked it so much I'm all ready working on another small one for Halloween. Don't look too closely where those points join, it's pretty ugly, but it was a learning project. The next one will be better. Fun, fun, fun. Now that I've made this I'll have to figure out what to do with it. It doesn't match anything in my house.

What great fabrics you selected!
They look wonderful as the background in the CW.
I'm glad you enjoyed the class.;-)

Very nice!! I have done a few CW projects as well as taught how to do this. I have never seen one finished along the 1/2 unit edges like you have done and its very interesting. The traditional method was to leave those half unit spaces white (or the plain background) and just turn the bias edges back and tack them down but I like the added fabric!

You did a very good job!

Pillow front done in dark fabric showing the "traditional" finish of the 1/2 units around the edges

It is a fun pattern to learn, isn't it? I use my first piece as a table topper in our guest room.

Keep us posted as you do more CW's.

Golly, somehow you have to find a frame or something! It really needs to be displayed. Way to go!
