When my mom died at 87 (the only quilter in the family) I decided that someone needed to keep her legacy going. I guess it will be me. She always made her own clothing so I took all of her dresses, with aprons to match, and cut them up to make some very simple throws for my 2 sisters, my 2 daughters, and myself. I tied the first few then tried stitch in the ditch on others. We will always have a special reminder of her. Now I'm addicted and even dream about quilts!!!!!

Absolutely. Sure makes me miss her though - I wish she were here so we could share this love.

Your mom would be so proud and pleased! You did great! Love all three of them but the last one is your best for blending colors! I'm third generation quilter and must carry on the tradition! They just smile down at us! :D :D

What a wonderful legacy to her. I'm glad you are continuing the quilting tradition. You did a wonderful job on all of them.
