My First Quilts (Photo Memory Quilts)
#12
Wow! I am beyond impressed! Those are your first two quilts? Wow! Wow! Wow! Great job. (now I'm going to slink over to the corner and hide because I didn't finish anything for my DMIL and DSIL... January is a good time for an after Christmas gift, right?)

You all are so very sweet!!!! I have sewn things for my girls and for little gifts for about 5 years but yes, these are my first quilts. I did the floral one (for the MIL) first and was really nervous but by the time I got to my SIL's I wasn't as nervous. I have always loved quilts! Some great memories I have are watching my grandmother make them (by machine & by hand) and of course snuggling up in them! I never realized just how much time and work went into them! I almost gave up because they were taking me so long but I'm glad I didn't. The end result it so worth all the time and work! I've already got my next one planned! hehe Hats off to you ladies who do these over the top, extravagant, huge, many many multi piece quilts!
The second one (my SIL's) is my favorite too. I had to really push my feelings aside to make my MIL's what I thought she would like instead of what I wanted. It's hard!
Nancy- Anytime is a good gifting time! Personally, I have no problem getting a gift... ummm.... anytime!
