Default My first quilts

This is my first time posting pictures, so I hope it works.

This is a rag quilt that I made for someone Christmas of 2011. It's made of denim and flannel, heavier than I thought it would be, too!

This is the back of it.

And this is my first really real quilt. My own personal crazy quilt. I finished it the week before Christmas last month. My first time doing binding too and my nerves were shot after that. The backing is a plain muslin, forgot to take a picture of that. And it was tied instead of quilted. I also only have a little bit of embroidery on it instead of a whole lot like normal crazies do.

Are the sizes of the pictures ok? Or are they too big?

Forgot to say that this one also has some string blocks thrown in. I was getting impatient to see what it looked like done and these were a little faster, lol. And I used the Elmers method of basting, also used the glue for the binding, too. Loved it.

Neat quilts! Like the denim one, and the backing as well. The scrappy crazy quilt is great too! What fun!

I think you've been bitten by the quilt bug. Nice job on both of your quilts and welcome to the board. You will get a lot of inspiration here so we will look forward to seeing more of your work in the future.

Luv both quilts but especially the denim one with the neat back. I want to try that.

I love the idea of the denim and the flannel. I couldn't help thinking what a wonderful warm quilt it would be. Love the scrappy too. I like that all the blocks aren't the same.
