I decided to try making a rag quilt and I finished it today... it is called Java Jive because the fabrics all have a Coffee theme... bought for the color not the theme by my husband.. I am not a Coffee drinker! LOL! I am a tea drinker.. but he likes coffee.. I think he may snitch this quilt! Here are some pix... Barb C.

Close up of back... good view of the fabrics

Label...I always put a Bible verse on my labels ... this is one God led me to a few weeks ago. He has been teaching me to expect Him to act.

seems wrong, somehow to call that a "rag" quilt. :P

Congratulations! It is beautiful! I have not even got to start one, yet.
I'm a coffee-a-holic, can I have it? LOL! :D

My dd best friend is a coffee-a-holic at the ripe age of 19 and I have no doubt she is going to try to sneak this out of the house! Barb C

So that's what a rag quilt is :) , You're right patrice, does seem wrong to call it that. I love it, never seen one before. Heard you all talking about them before but was too chicken to ask.

Big question I know but how is it made, how do you get the edges all fluffy like that, what kind of fabrics do you use and does it have a batt or filling, It is really really lovely, thank you for sharing it and for filling in a blank for me.
