Default My first scrappy

I love scrappy quilts. I completed the first one with 2 1/2" squares and I was very happy with that one. I also saw a picture of a D9P on this site so I wanted to make that one as well. However I wasn't happy with my D9P once I completed it, so these two quilt tops sat unfinished for at least a year. They are both queen size. I am currently trying to get all my unfinished projects completed BEFORE starting new ones so I pushed myself to finish these. My beautiful cousin is coming to stay at our home to look after all our fur babies while we go on holidays so I thought I would finish them for her. Because I wasn't happy with the D9P I decided to use it as a backing. Now I love it! It looks great on the back and now it is a reversible quilt and a great way to use more scraps.

love your two scrappy quilts. I don't think I would have the patience to make one.

I keep telling myself that I will only work on my UFO but then I see another beautiful quilt that I just have to make and I stop working on the other. It's just a vicious circle but I will finish them eventually. If I would have with the determination that you have to start nothing new until your done that would be great! Anyway good job on your reversible quilt and have a wonderful holiday.

Well done. A quilt you are not fond of is perfect for a backing!
