I worked on this (as well as other s) at the quilt a thon in ft worth this weekend. I alternated a D4P with a coordinating floral. I used 4 different colors in my D4P. I am considering floral applique on the outer border.

That's beautiful. What an interesting use of the D9P. I have a little of your feature fabric. Love the colors.
