I made my grandson this quilt for his 5th Birthday. My daughter wanted me to make a comforter for his bed using all these colors. He loves the Dallas Cowboys and calls Tony Romo "Tony Romo Blue Star" becasue he knows they all have blue stars on their uniform. I added the blue stars to the quilt for him and called it "Blue Star".
While I was making this quilt I prayed that every time he crawled under it that he would feel safe and loved and that God would protect him. He has been afraid to sleep in his room lately, he thinks their are monsters! When I gave it to him I told him that it was a special quilt because I prayed over it and ask Jesus watch over him and keep him safe when he was using it. When he went to be the first night he used it he ask him Mom where Jesus was, because Me-Maw said Jesus was going to watch over him and protect him! He slept in his bed all night.

That is a WONDERFUL story!! What a terrific Grandma to do that for him. Not just the quilt but the story behind it so that he will know that God loves him. Now he feels safe in his room.

I only wish I'd known how to make quilts when our daughter was young - she had bad dreams all the time - we'd have to pray for only good dreams almost every night - it worked!!
