Very pretty! You did an excellent job on the piecing. I hope you'll post a picture when you get it quilted.

Thank you everyone for your wonderful comments! I am very pleased to know that it feels like a happy quilt to everyone else too The ups and downs in my life are a result of losing my precious 24 year old son in 2009 to a senseless violent crime. Although I know the pain will never go away, fortunately I have wonderful family around me when I need them. In the mean time, I am going to make loads more beautiful, colourful quilts to pile on top of myself for those difficult days and the rest of the quilts I will gift to people who's appreciation always lifts my heart and makes me smile. Amazing how quilts are capable of bringing such happiness to people! I love it and I love this amazing board with all it's awesome members! XXX

OHHHHH, thanks for the bold idea. I have a piece of dearly loved fuchsia fabric in my stash that has been sitting around for years waiting for inspiration. Now I have an idea of what to do with it! Lovely.
