A few months back I asked for help regarding finding kelly green flannel. I also wondered if one could mix types of fabrics when making a quilt. I had previously either made quilts all out of
flannel or all out of quilters cotton fabric. I received a lot of great answers from many of you. Thanks to everyone who responded. I decided to use blocks of fleece, chenille, and soft raised dotted fleece. I used natural cotton batting and backed the quilt with fleece. I am attaching 2 pictures. My 12 year old granddaughter was very pleased with her new quilt!

Great quilt, the textures of the different fabrics make it unique, I can see why your granddaughter is pleased

Thanks so much. I appreciate your comment. I was a little apprehensive about mixing fabrics, but the more I worked with it, the more fun I had making it and I liked the mixture of textures.
