OK, ladies...I have always been green with envy that some of you can find the garage/yard sales with material at a really good price...seems I never do -- UNTIL TODAY!!
I was doing some errands today and have taken to stopping and/or at least driving by the garage sales with signage. The third one I stopped at looked like it had some materials just placed on top of a box for $3 and another group for $6.
Well, did I misjudge! The husband who was sitting in the garage said his wife used to work at JoAnnes, and never brought anything home but material. He's much happier now that she is working at Target and willing to get rid of all this stuff.
I spent $35 and got 49 yards of good quality material! That's about $0.71 per yard! And only the turtles one doesn't feel top quality! Will go back on Saturday afternoon and see if she has anything left and has cut her prices!

Great find! You're an inspiration to those that say they never find anything. I had to pass up a garage sale today that had advertized Moda and other name brand fabrics. Just didn't want to travel the 30 miles to check it out.
You could take what you want out of it, sell the rest on here for $1.50 or $2 a yard plus shipping (a super great deal for anyone wanting to buy it) and that way you'd have free fabric and a little extra money for your next find.
That purple flowered would make a beautiful backing.
