Default My latest project The Beatitudes

This is a quilt I am making for a coworker who was force to retire due to medical issues. I am making her a quilt which will have signatures of all our coworkers. I will add a 3" middle border (beige fabric for signing) and a 5" or 6" outer border (green w/yellow flowers) to make it a lap quilt. The original size is a wall hanging at 39" x 48" from Block Party Studios. All fabric is from my stash. Not sure what fabric I will use to back it with. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance.

I think it's a lovely quilt. The inspirational verses are very uplifting and her co-workers signatures will make it more personal. It will be a beautiful gift.

Very thoughtful gift. It will be beautiful. I like using part of my front on the back. If I had enough fabric I might use your teal/gold as backing.

Sorry your co-worker is being forced to retire due to medical issues. Your quilt is coming along beautifully and love the verses. She will be so pleased with this quilt and how wonderful you are to be making it!
