Keeping track of the colors/pieces is like that "Dealer's Choice" I have read about, I guess. I kept all the blues stacked in a row, the golds, creams, rusts and browns also. I tried to mix them and any block quarters that are the same are far apart in the quilt. It is supposed to be scrappy, but it is organized scraps. There are 7 or 8 blues, 4 rusts, 3 creams, 3 browns, 5 golds. The cream pieces that make the centers and triangles are assorted also.

It really is fun to just pick 2 colors and start sewing! I chain piece them quickly so that they go together faster and I don't have time to rethink my choices. Just keep grabbing and feeding the machine!

My bedroom walls are light blue so I wanted to make a quilt to coordinate. The seashell fabric that makes up the sashing was my focus fabric and I pulled the other colors from it.

Very interesting. Sometimes I focus on the box, other times I focus on the stars.

That's a really neat pattern.

That is funny! Even though it is called Boxy Stars, I think they look like tulips!

Moonpi, I just got a book on machine quilting. I have to work up to something this big!

Maybe in a year or two I will tackle something that is King sized!
