Default Coffee Time Table Topper

This is my first quilt done by following a pattern. I made a small changes to the pattern to make it work with my fabrics. It was fun and frustrating at the same time, but I promissed myself that I will do this because following directions is the hardest part for me. I like to start with a genaral idea and make things up as I go. The pattern is from the book called Kitchen Stichin' by Chris Malone.

I like your creative approach to quilting. I start with a pattern for inspiration but seldom make it exact.

It's really cute! What size is it?
I work the same way...hate following directions! Guess we must be very independent people. I'll do it myself! lol

You did a great job. I tend to run astray also, but mine usually never looks that great. Keep on being independent.

Cut topper. I only use patterns for inspiration -- can't follow directions very well because I am always looking at them through and thinking what I would like to change. Things always come out in the end.

Great for the kitchen table. Good work!!
