Red face I finished my first quilt!!

I did it! I finished my first quilt!

This is a baby quilt I made for my 9 month old niece's Christmas present. I quilted it using a 'pretty' stitch on my machine and the stitch-in-the-ditch method. I stitched one direction in pink, and the other in white. (Partially because I ran out of the pink thread - d'oh! - but I think it looks kind of neat) The back is minky; I didn't use any batting because I didn't want it super heavy for a baby.

I'm really proud of how it turned out! And after seeing the finished product, DH suddenly wants one for our bed! LOL!

Wonderful first project, and for baby too. Very nice. I like that you didn't panic at running out of thread but instead adjusted your plan to make it work and so begins the creative side of quilting.

Great job.
peace

I'm doing one slightly different for my new nephew, who's only 3 months old. Then I'm also working on a table runner and wall hanging for a few swaps on here.
