Default My latest quilt, DGSs 16th birthday grey quilt

So my DGS turned 16 at Thanksgiving and I promised him a quilt for his birthday. He painted his room in "grownup" colors this summer in anticipation. Grownup color being Grey. His sister would show him a piece of fabric that he would okay (or not). Then he said he wanted just a "touch" of red. I started collecting for a turning twenty. I could only get 18 plus the red, so one is a repeat. The design is Turning Twenty Again. Since I am somewhat of a novice at quilting, even though I have been sewing for 65 years, I thought this turned out pretty good. Thought you might like to see it, top only.

I agree. It turned out brilliant. My son would love it who is 16 in a few months and was previously a boy that loved re and has gone the grown up colours of grey with some red touches. You've done well.

Very well done. Nice for a teen but has a sophisticated look. He's growning up grandma.

Wasn't sure I would like grey as it usually is a sort of drab color, but I really like your quilt. The red really makes it pop.
