Hmmm. Ran out of time. This was supposed to be a quilt of 4 panels, but it turned into a wall hanging of 1 panel. I underestimated, since it was my first large applique (I have done 4 appliqued potholders around April). My mom loves Southern Belles and Flappers, so I'm looking for a Flapper applique pattern for her birthday - I have until Mayl. The FMQ was pretty easy. I just jumped in and didn't dwell on it or I would have talked myself out of it.... And the backing was a piece of fabric I bought about 9 months ago, just because I liked it. It seems to fit really well.
