My mom embroidered a lot of blocks some years ago....I put together 2 quilt tops for her - and still there were 13 blocks remaining - she told me to keep them for myself - and so I made a quilt for me with 12 of the blocks - and the 13th became a pillow cover - I thought I would share this project with you - just finished the binding last week...this is something that I will treasure forever - so happy to have my mom's embroidered blocks in these.....

Measurement: 55" x 78"

Pillow cover is 16" x 16" - I need to get a filler for this one....

I thought a back with ties would fit the look well....

Oh how nice and lucky you are to have some of your mother's blocks to keep. Lovely job quilting it.

You are so fortunate! My mom used to do the "artex" paints when I was younger. I have no surviving examples or I would totally have made them into a quilt.
What a treasure! It's beautiful!
