My "Monkey Quilt & Friend" & ETE...
1st a little history this is going to my niece, shes have'in a boy!
But 3 years ago she lost her only girl! in very tragic way. Her daughter 15 yrs tried to cross the freeway on foot after dark was hit by 2 cars. We found out that the kids cross in that same spot alot! ((I5) here in wash state)
So this is a very special time for her! not just because shes having a child but Shes never expected to get pregnant shes always had trouble before!
Hope you like the 'Monkey Rag Quilt'&'Sock Monkey'
The other is a Row I've made called 'Pitcher&Bowl' from a pattern of My Sister-in-laws now passed its old from the 50,or 60's the yo-yo's were hers too. She started making yo-yo's when her 1st kid was born in 1962 and didn't stop til she died in 1996 she finished a quilt for him before she passed from breast 'C' and we still found tons of them!
PS theres A Monkey Behind the Quilt too BUT thats the ONE I LOVE!!!

What a darling little quilt! I know your niece will love it! I'm so sorry to hear of her horrible loss (I lost a son so I know a little of what she feels)but am delighted there's a new little one coming into her life. And the new baby will be welcomed by this adorable quilt!
