    sguillot, it's "quilt as you go" and "free motion quilting". There are lots of threads about them here and elsewhere on the internet.

    Yes it is...I just used their applique and changed the rest, obviously...I used 10" squares and then individually finished the squares. I thought theirs was too normal... I found the magazine at a thrift store a few days before returning to Poland. But I liked their border but I wanted something simpler..and I wanted to use that sandals fabric as the colors were perfect for this and I had no other idea how to use that sandals fabric...

    And to anyone else who asked, my 17 year old told me she'd love to have some real flip flops out of some of these fabric combinations..she helped me figure out the color combos.
