My new back pack, salvaged from a hot mess!

I started embellishing the fabric early last spring and finally finished it. Last week, I worked on it and made such a mess that I had to cut to salvage it. There was no way I could have ripped my seams out. I liked my appliqué, embroidery, and quilting too much to walk away from the whole mess. I'm satisfied with how it turned out, although I would plan differently next time. My sister thought I should have bound the edges of my embellished fabric and called it a table runner. I also made a computer sleeve from my leftovers, but I don't have a pic of that yet.

    Thanks for looking!

It's wonderful! Creativity is a process, and you have completed a really neat project. Pat yourself on the back!

Maybe it was a hot mess, but it's definitely a cool project now! Congratulations on the salvage....not everyone can recover so nicely. Guess this means you actually have two gifts: the gift of creativity and the gift of recovity (my word, why not?)
