Thanks, everybody, I just used some fabric that I had (barely had enough, that's why the pockets and zipper part is a different colour. I really enjoyed making it, it was good to practice quilting on and I love the size of it (I too have problems with purses, either too small or too large, not enough pockets, or something "not quite right"). The pattern is called Diva Essential Designer Bag by Thumbuddy Special, Lynnda Enright and the directions are quite easy to follow, even pictures to help along (my brain doesn't do well with written instructions, I guess I am more a slow, visual learner. I plan to make a couple more, my DIL just loved it (and if she was just being polite, too bad for her, she is getting one)

An incredible bag!!!! Sheesh, it makes my simple little totes look primitive. I love all the pockets and your stitching is really, really great!

Your bag is great, would love to have one. Where did you find the pattern, I can't seem to locate one online.

Thanks again, this is the first quilted thing I can say I am really happy with. I got the pattern at my LQS but you can e-mail [email protected] or call her (Eugene,Oregon) at 541-688-9035, the blurb on the internet (you can just google thumbuddy special and will find all the info)says she hasn't got an on-line store yet. I think all you seasoned quilters will likely find it a breeze to make up.
