Hi, all! Long time no see. I have been busy busy busy lately.

Here is a pair of baby quilts that are going to a brother and sister. I made the new baby (Elijah) a quilt and then realized I had not made one for his big sister, who is 3. So I made them using the same pattern of 10" squares.

The pink and orange one is made completely out of thrifted sheets. Well, except for the flower which is from a kit that was supposed to be made into placemats. I got it at a Ben Franklin store and I wish I had bought all of them! Unfortunately I only got one set.

The bag is one I made for me. I made one kind of like it on a tan canvas for my cousin and then decided I had to have one, too. So I used a thrifted linen tablecloth and made one for myself!

Those quilts are wonderful and love the bag also. By Thrifted sheets, do you mean thrift store bed sheets? Sorry if that is a silly question.

Yep, that is exactly what I mean! Not a silly question at all as most quilters don't use them. But I am a thrifty (cheap) sort!

All are lovely. Great job with the applique. I never would have guessed those are thrifted sheets.

I have to admit, when I read the title I thought ...ugh, ugly colors. But they look great! I love that they're thrift store fabrics! My favorite kind :)

Those are wonderful - great colors and I'm sure big sister will love to have her own quilt!
