I know this isn't quilt-related, but this is a picture of my other obsession -- hand-beaded wedding garters. This one is for the future daughter-in-law of the owner of one of my favorite quilt shops -- does that make it quilt-related?
You can't see it in the photo, but there are pearls and iridescent beads on the design in the lace.

that is really pretty! I made garters, hankies, album covers, guest book covers and penholders, ring pillows and flower girl baskets.. It was so much fun! But guess what? They were for my soon to be DIL's, and now all three of them are X DIL's!! Well, maybe they will get passed to my granddaughters!LOL

So pretty! Looks like you've found a glamorous "obsession".

Yes, I used to do the whole wedding thing, including the flowers. Thank heavens quilting came along to take over my attention. Passed down most of the other crafting items to my daughter -- it made more room for fabric!

Very pretty - my grandma use to make lots of stuff like that for weddings - beaded pillows, and such. It's a beautiful art! Wonderful work.
