While I was at AC Moore the other day, I found this really cute quilt kit. I had a 50% off coupon so I got it for $11. I made it in about 5 hours today (I know some of you could probably have done this in 2 hours, but I am somewhat new to quilting and sewing and cutting!) Anyway, I was totally excited to start AND complete a little blankie in one day :) This is backed with flannel and doesn't have any batting. At first I wasn't sure about it, but I think it will make a great play blankie for a little one. The orange plush fabric and brown satin were so hard to work with, so my border isn't too even. I tied it with yellow, which I think looks really cute. Sorry my photos aren't the greatest, it was such a heavy hazy day today and the lighting was awful. Maybe you can still see how cute it is?

measures about 29 inches X 33 inches

Yes, it is real cute. And, little kids love the feel of the satin and plush, I know mine did!

I love the prints and you did a great job on the quilt. I love making blankies for little ones. I do one or 2 for each of the new ones of my coworkers, then tell them it's the one to put down first so the really nice ones don't get dirty.
