I Want to thank the Academy..... :o)
Well I just finished a few days in the sewing room getting some Christmas Projects done up and while none of them will actually win any awards, I just wanted to acknowledge some of the people who have been so awesome as to blog "http://www.pleasant-home.com/", YouTube "Sharon Shamber Binding Curves", and whoever posted these links from here at the QuiltingBoard! Hope that made sense! I also want to share my new found love affair with Elmers Washable School Glue which was invaluble in the binding process. Sharon Schambers binding method is brilliant and works so well! I also have to say I love my Stitch-in-the-Ditch walking foot - amazing! I've attached some pictures of my Mug Rugs, first attempt at these and had a lot of fun making them up (I made mine reversible, so they don't have to put them away after Christmas ). I particularly liked the tutorial for them for mass production. Very awesome! (which is really good, cause I have a big list of who should get one this year). I've made 2 pair of the Heart Potholders before, but struggled with applying the ready-made bias tape the pattern called for and with this 3rd set, actually got it sewn on and just hated the quality of the job I did on it and went googling looking for a better option - hence Sharon Schamber's video tutorial on curved binding. Ripped off the premade stuff and made my own bias binding. Yay! Now they look amazing .
So that's it. While frustrating to start, had so many successes this week in my sewing room, I just had to share .

Getting them done early is a bit of a first for me..I'm usually an eleventh hour person. It feels good to be ahead of the game for a change!
