I am a long time lurker here but the selvage "issue" going around has pushed me to come out & post. Don't give your selvages away, unless it is to a very good friend in need.
Save them, nuture them, pet & play with them & eventually they will call out to you like they did to me. I have so many more projects in the thinking process for my pretties.

Cute! But it must take forever to get them all sewn.

Going shopping and to the quilt show was difficult, but showing it at my guilds show & tell was worth it!
Sewing them together is the quick part. Deciding how to arrange them took forever. I just strip sewed them onto muslin squares. Start at one edge, sew right on the edge of selvage and muslin, overlap the next selvage and sew right on its edge, and continue across.
