I turned my dining room into my main sewing area. My hubby, bless his heart, took some old kitchen cabinets (donated by my friends who both had their kitchens remodeled) and made the sewing counters. He made a recessed area to drop my machine into and then the clear extension table slides right in (he's so clever).

Then I have a smaller room off the dining room that was my nail room (I did nails out of my house) and set up my cutting table and we just put the shelving unit in to hold my dwindling stash. (I used a lot of my stash in my sisters king sized quilt "Wish Upon A Star".

I am very lucky, I know, to have a very supportive husband.

Joey

I''m green with envy. It looks awesome. I use our dining room, but my hubby won't let me "convert" it...I sew on our really nice wood dining table...

Glad you have such a lovely sewing area...every woman/man/sewer/quilter deserves one!!

I've said it before andwill say it again- I am so jealous! I don't have a special sewing room, and won't for quite a few more years. I have to wait for my stepkids to grow up, but then I am taking over a bedroom upstairs!

Great room, Joey! I would love to have an L-shaped work area. Your tall bookshelf is wonderfully stocked, too!!!
