With lots of help from this board...I finally finished my sister's quilt that I am giving to her for her birthday (today)...she is a breast cancer survivor and I was going to use a backing with pink ribbons but decided against it after my husband raised his concerns....since this is a birthday gift and she is over the treatments I decided not to but instead to use a pink backing with butterflies...new beginnings...she is also selling her home and will be looking for a new home...so the birdhouse/spring theme works..
