Four years ago i promised my sister that I'd make her a quilt. This February I finally started one for her. She wanted a celtic knot quilt and dragonflys. Well, after a couple months of reserching and looking at lots of patterns, I came up with one of my own. I guess you could call it "Deirdre's Dragonfly".
The next step is layering and basting, then into the frame it will go to be hand quilted. I have only machine quilted a couple small tablerunners. I prefer to hand quilt, but the machine quilting is a lot faster!
The plan it is quilt around the dragonfly, quilt large celtic knots on the square blocks, outline the knots in the corners and for the sides? I haven't decided yet.
Hope you like it!

There are so many things I really like about your quilt. I love how you have the black accents, and I especially like how you did the center of the quilt where the dragonfly is -- without the accents. Looks great and I bet she'll love it.
