My string X quilt top
#1
About a week or so ago, Prairie Quilter posted a photo of her 'X marks the spot' quilt and I immediately fell in love .

So I started one also. Now I have to admit that I love scrap quilts, and my joy is in the piecing and sewing the quilt tops (some people call them 'flimsies' before they are sandwiched and quilted). I have lots of flimsies hanging on my 2nd floor railing, I love them just as they are. Sometimes adding borders, sandwiching and quilting is not fun for me.

If I am not mistaken this quilt is shown in the Relax and Quilt booklet and goes by the name of Pathways to Piece. One of our members, Nanabirdmo (if I recall) introduced it several years ago. But like many other quilts, people have chosen different names for them. I liked it well enough that I have made 4 of them and given them to charities. I love using those small pieces.
