Default My tribute to Japan after the earthquake

I have watched so many heartbreaking images in Japan, especially of the childre. This little girl is my tribute to the wonderful brave people in that country. It is fusible applique and is not quilted yet.

Beautiful!!! Is the face painted on the fabric or perhaps you used flesh tone fabric and highlighted it somehow? I really love the expression.

No it isn't painted, it is applique. I hand dyed the fabric in 5 shades of flesh tone and then used fusible applique. Thank you for the compliment.

Wonderful! I knew it would be good judging by your avatar. You have a real talent for creating life like images on fabric.
