Default Black, White & Red Baby Quilt

One of the Vet Assistants is due any minute with her 2nd child. I can never pass up an opportunity to make a baby quilt so I asked the mom-to-be what colors she had chosen. Imagine my surprise when she said "Black & White"! I know that there is a theory about using black and white as the baby is supposed to be able to see these hues better. Well, I couldn't do just black and white so I threw in some red borders. It started out as a Yellow Brick Road pattern but having read the instructions fully and then not following them correctly () I was forced to improvise. It's not my cup of tea but then again, it isn't for me!

I was also able to make this completely from my stash!!! (Yeah for me!! Pat on the back!) I can also scratch a black and white quilt off my bucket list. And maybe the YBR pattern too!

Beautiful And yes it is true babies like high contrast (like black and white and even red) so that they can focus on oblects. Pretty quilt!

I will probably have a label made with all the baby's information after he is born. Wanted to get it to her today as she is being induced tomorrow.
