Hello everyone. Here are a couple pictures of the top I did last night and this morning. I am going to quilt and bind it today also.

It is a kit I got at Hickory Stick in Hannibal on new years eve. My (our) anniversary is Jan 1.

I cant wait to get it done and washed since I used so much starch it was like handling cardboard! :) But I really enjoyed sewing it.

I do have a question. I haven't starched my back yet. It has a print and was wondering if people like to starch and iron the wrong side or the right side. I haven't used flannel before and don't know if it matters what side to iron on.

Thanks a bunch!

Beautiful. I haven't worked with flannel so can't answer your questions.

I am working with flannel right now. I iron both sides, especially if I need to press a seam. Awesome quilt.

Wow, that is beautiful. It's almost too pretty to use, but I bet the flannel makes it warm and cuddly. I wouldn't be able to resist it. Great job.

Your top is beautiful. I don't use starch very much so I am of no help there.

MURPHY's LAW
Well I got my batting all fluffed and wrinkle free. My backing all starched and ironed, and taped to kitchen floor. I also ironed my top one last time. Then it happened. My basting spray was ALL gone! I could swear I just bought a new can! Imagine that.

Sooooo, I will have to wait a couple days to get more. I was going to finish this flannel and another lucky star top that I have had done forevvveerrr. Well the only thing i finished was my first applique it just needed binding.

I have pics of both of them here since I don't have a pic of the final flannel (say that 3 times real fast)

Oh well. I guess this means I'll have to start another one without finishing all three. I did finish one though! :)
