my very first quilt

Dojo36--your quilts are beautiful. You tempt me to think about getting an embroidery machine!
Mawmawbeve_60--I love the quilt in your avatar. Is the pattern available someplace? I like all kinds of quilts, but log cabin patterns are my special love.

well i just love my embroidery machine, it's a Janome Memory Craft 300E, it's at the lowest price range of all the other Janomes. the machine makes a person look like they're smart, but you buy a book with a CD, and it has the patterns on it and you mark your material and let her rip.
looks like i'm good but i'm really not. i've seen so many of everybody's beautiful quilts on here and there's no way i could piece a quilt like yall do. i've never done that and probably will never try it. i would just end up with a big mess as I cannot cut 2 pieces of fabric the same size no matter how hard i try to measure & cut. so the embroidery is a much easier way to go.

no i don't mind at all. the only difference between the 300 and the 350 is the 350 takes a flash drive and the 300 doesn't. First of all, I took a class on how to use the machine. Then I took a quilting class. I could never have figured it out if not for the classes. We made Christmas cards at a class the other day. the possibilities are endless.
