Good job!
The variety displayed in your two quilts shows a lot of promise for future projects.
I personally appreciate the traditional quilt blocks and remember as a child, the thing I liked best was tracing the quilting pattern formed by the thread holding all the layers together. They must have been large stipples because I would trace the "roads" over and over ...
For beginning quilting, you selected some techniques that are only done by more experienced quilters (and, I like your color choices <g>). Thank you for sharing <wave>

Thanks for your input I found it very encouraging considering it was my first try at something I thought was a big task. I have now started a wonky Log Cabin and feel so proud of myself (if I am aloud to say that). So far I am happy with the outcome as I have not done much sewing in the past. Thanks again. Chris

Based on the quilts that started this thread, I would say you have every right to say that you are proud of yourself.
You obviously enjoy doing good work and producing fine products.
As Babe Ruth said: It ain't bragging if you can do it!

Very nice! I'm new to the whole world of quilting and only hope that one day I can complete my first quilt too!
